Welcome to the www.missiontocanada.co.in website
www.missiontocanada.co.in is a group of Canadian flight schools who are members of the Air Transport Association of Canada (ATAC).
Our group mission is to promote the Canadian brand of safe, high quality flight training to international students.
The demand for pilots is booming. Aircraft manufacturers such as Boeing predict that demand will grow from 232,000 pilots today to 467,000 over the next twenty years. At the same time, the capacity to produce these pilots at home is not sufficiently developed to meet the need.
Our schools offer solutions to the many students looking for safe high quality places to train. With almost a century of flight training experience behind us, we have the flight training capacity, skills and experience that today's international market needs.
Visit our www.missiontocanada.co.in Schools page and find out more about the schools that are waiting to welcome you.
Why choose Canada for flight training?
Quality training with high standards. We not only claim to have quality training, we can show you the evidence. Go to our Quality Flight Training page to see why we can make this claim.
Safety. Canada is a world leader in promoting aviation safety programs, with Quality Assurance and Safety Management Systems becoming the norm in our flight schools. For more details see our Safe Flight Training page.
Diverse weather conditions and varied geography make for enriched flight training.Canada's weather and geography make for an enriched flight training experience that promotes better pilot decision-making skills and the kind of experience employers love when graduates return home. Find out more on our Enriched Flight Training page.
Put our century of flight training experience to your service. Come and fly Canada!

Quality flight training
Canada's quality flight training is a direct result of its high flight training standards. Here are five distinct ways international students can be sure this is the case
Aviation safety
Canada leads the way in promoting aviation safety in its flight schools and its aviation industry
Enriched flight training
Canada's weather and geography creates an enriched flight training environment where pilot decision making and risk assessment skills are honed

Flight training history
Canada has a rich flight training history. Its vast territory has been linked by aviation for a century.But the back story is the our flight training history.

Canada's quality flight training and high standards
It is not enough for a country or a flight school to just claim that they offer quality flight training. International students need to be reassured with concrete evidence that this is the case.
And prospective students need to be reassured that the training they take in a foreign country will be recognized by their home civil aviation authority.
Here are five signs that the Canadian flight training program has high standards
The program meets ICAO standards
There is a well laid out plan for supervising junior instructors
Training follows lesson plans with detailed learning outcomes
Licence and rating testing follows a standard national system and is conducted by well trained Pilot Examiners
Indian students are reassured that the Canadian Commercial Pilot Licence is recognized the DGCA, their civil aviation authority.
Canada is unique in its robust database of flight training results. All exam results are collected and analyzed, exercise by exercise. Areas of weakness are pinpointed, and flight schools find out where they may need to review and upgrade their training.
This feedback loop has resulted in continuous improvement over the years, and a solid tool for flight schools to make sure they continue to reach and exceed the national standard.
www.missiontocanada.co.in schools are proud participants in this continuous improvement program.
Aviation safety and Canadian flight training
Our flight schools abide by a number of aviation safety regulations that keep our students safe. Here are some of the key regulations that govern student safety:
Operational control
Flight watch and daily flight sheets ensure that when a student becomes airborne, there is a system in place to make sure that student has returned, or to start searching within 15 minutes of the time they said they would land.
Aircraft “technical dispatch” procedures ensure that aircraft are not taken up in the air unless they are safe and airworthy.
Student dispatchStudent pilots flying solo must be dispatched by a flight instructor, who will ensure that the student is competent to conduct the planned flight exercises and that the weather conditions are suitable.
Instructor supervision
Instructor supervision regulations require our flight schools to closely supervise junior instructors. These instructors must keep senior instructors advised as they take their students through the training program. Supervising instructors also arrange to fly periodically with the students of junior instructors to make sure the training is up to standard.
Flight training programs
Flight training programs are prescribed by Transport Canada. All students must meet clear and specific requirements before being granted a pilot licence or rating.
Safety Management Systems
Safety management systems (SMS) help companies identify safety risks before they become bigger problems. Transport Canada regulations require the aviation industry to put safety management systems in place as an extra layer of protection to help save lives. ICAO has mandated that Safety management systems will become an international requirement in 2010. Canada leads the world in implementing SMS. The backbone of an SMS consists of
Safety management plan;
Documentation;
Safety oversight;
Training;
Quality assurance; and
Emergency preparedness.
As of 2011, Canadian airports and groups of commercial operators are required to have SMS in place. It is on the horizon for flight schools. However many of our flight schools are already implementing SMS before being required to do so. Resources such as this aviation safety website are available free of charge to help flight schools teach SMS, and complete the transition to a safety culture.
Students coming to Canada can be certain they are training in a country that respects safety and leads the way in creating safety cultures.
